STAR HOUSE X COHATCH
CHVD JVSTIN is collaborating with COhatch to help move the mission of Star House forward of helping unhoused youth in Columbus find success in life by giving them access to housing and resources. The latest project with Star House in collaboration with COhatch is the Carol Stewart Village renovation. The goal is to renovate 62 apartments for local unhoused youth in the Star House program. With every Star House Wearpack® purchased, we will donate 25% of the profits of each Star House Wearpack® towards the renovation project at Carol Stewart Village to help make apartments a home.
More about Star House:
We exist to do whatever it takes to lift youth out of homelessness and into a community of hope. Star House operates Central Ohio's only drop-in center for youth, ages 14-24, who are experiencing homelessness. At our 24/7/365 drop-in center, youth are provided access to food, clothing, hygiene items, laundry facilities, showers and a safe place to be.
Beyond basic needs, our clinical team provides therapy and case management, and partner agencies provide on-site and community-based access to stabilizing resources, such as housing, transportation, health care, employment, education, addiction services, legal aid, government benefits, ID cards and more. In addition, Star House, along with the Finance Fund and the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, jointly owns and operates Carol Stewart Village (CSV) —a 62-unit affordable neighborhood for young adults, ages 18-24, with on-site programs and services."
