WEARPACK® is a wearable bag brand born in a dorm room at The Ohio State University by visionary entrepreneur and inventor Chad J. Porter. As a college student navigating a fast-paced campus life, Chad recognized a major problem: traditional backpacks were outdated and didn’t support the active, on-the-go lifestyle that modern students, athletes, and creators live every day.

 

Driven by necessity and creativity, he transformed his dorm room into a design studio—sketching, cutting, sewing, and reimagining what a bag could be. His commitment to innovation led to the development of a modular wearable tech bag system, ultimately earning him two U.S. patents for his breakthrough design solutions.
